With over 20 years of licensed experience in the yachting industry, he has served as captain and skipper across Europe and internationally. His background includes hands-on involvement in yacht refits, equipping him with a solid understanding of engineering and maintenance. Andreas enjoys all sorts of water sports, as well as fishing and the preparation of fine sea food. More recently, he has formed a professional Captain/Hostess team with his wife Katrin, delivering seamless and memorable charter experiences.

As Captain, the overall running of the vessel is Andreas’ responsibility; this includes the navigation, safety, and experience of all onboard. He ensures that IKIGAI runs smoothly and efficiently whilst adhering to all the appropriate regulations.
