Yacht season typically runs from May to October in the Northern Hemisphere and from November to April in the Southern Hemisphere. This is because the weather is warm and sunny during these months, making it ideal for sailing, swimming, and sunbathing.
However, yacht season can vary depending on the location. For example, yacht season in the Caribbean is longer, from November to June. This is because the weather is warm and sunny year-round in the Caribbean.
If you are planning a yacht charter, it is important to book your charter early, as yachts tend to book up quickly during the peak season. You should also be prepared for the cost of chartering a yacht, which can be expensive. However, the experience of yachting is truly unforgettable, and it is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the ocean.
There are many things to do on a yacht charter vacation. Here are a few ideas:

The number of nights you can stay on a yacht depends on numerous factors. We offer a package of a 7-night stay, which is a standard length of a yacht charter. It can be worked out if you want to stay shorter or longer. Flexibility and personalization are something that we offer at Somewhere Beautiful Yacht Charters.
The cost of a yacht charter will vary depending on a number of factors, including the size and type of yacht, the location, the time of year, and the amenities included.
In general, smaller yachts are less expensive to charter than larger yachts. Sailboats are also less expensive to charter than motor yachts.
The location of the charter will also affect the cost. Yachts that are chartered in popular destinations, such as the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, will be more expensive than yachts that are chartered in less popular destinations.
The time of year will also affect the cost. Yachts that are chartered during peak seasons, such as the summer months, will be more expensive than yachts that are chartered during the off-season.
The amenities that are included in the charter will also affect the cost. Yachts that include a swimming pool, hot tub, and gym will be more expensive than yachts that do not include these amenities.
Generally, yacht charters can cost anywhere from a few thousand dollars to several hundred thousand dollars per week. The specific cost will depend on the factors listed above.
All destinations are different. We will work with our contacts to ensure a stress-free transport to the Yacht.
Packing is very important due to the limited space on a yacht. It is recommended for you to use a duffle or soft bag to carry your items. When you’re packing your clothes lay all of them out on the bed then pick 50% of them to take. You might even be able to reduce it another 50%. You will not use as much as you think.
Of course, but not on all Yachts. Contact us to find the perfect Yacht for you and your children.
You are encouraged to bring sunscreen lotion. Say No to the “Toxic 3 O’s”. We highly support and recommend “Reef Friendly” No Oxybenzone, No Octinoxate, and No Octocrylene sunscreen. No sprays are to be used on any of the Yachts. If you must bring spray, it can only be used off the Yacht.
Pets are not allowed on board unless by prior arrangement of the OWNER and the Crew.
Includes the hiring of the vessel, the services of a fully licensed Crew, meals, standard ship’s bar, fuel, cruising taxes and permits, clearance taxes, mooring fees and all expenses related to running of the Yacht and use of on-board leisure and sports equipment.
Included are the Yacht and its onboard equipment as well as the Captain, Chef and Crew’s services.
Excluded are food and beverages, fuel for the yacht and its tender, any dockage, onshore excursions and tours, as well as any cruising permits, licenses and other charter related expenses.
Total Charter Fee excludes suggested Crew gratuities (discretionary) at customary rate of 15-20% of Charter Fee Period.
It is highly recommended by Somewhere Beautiful Yacht Charters, LLC to buy Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance. Typically it covers the cost of the charter, airfare, hotels, etc. Some insurances cover lost or delayed luggage, medical expenses including air evacuation.
There are different reasons a trip can be cancelled. If the Charterer cancels, Charter fees will be refunded only if the yacht can be rebooked for the same time period and at the same rates, less 15% of the full charter fee. If the Yacht/Owner cancels or becomes unavailable (except Force Majeur). All fees will be refunded.
Force Majeur, means any cause attributable to weather beyond the control of the owner or the charterer. Another good reason to buy trip insurance.
